Physical Description

Pate is broad and red-handed, with fisherman's shoulders, sandy hair tied at the nape, and a beard that never seems fully grown or fully shaved. He is missing three fingers from his left hand.

Background

Pate comes from the lands around White Harbor. Before marching south, he hauled barrels, mended nets, and helped his uncle keep a small ferry on a river feeding the White Knife.
